“We are very pleased that Phil has joined our firm,” said San Francisco partner-in-charge Jeff Gray. “He’s an outstanding lawyer who works with a lot of exciting companies. The addition of Phil, combined with the recent arrivals of Eric Walters and Erica Wilson, strengthens and diversifies the capabilities of our growing West Coast IP practice.”

Albert provides patent validity, infringement, and freedom-to-practice opinions, counsels on litigation strategy, and advises on open source issues and the interplay of industry standards and patents.

“I’m delighted to join Davis Wright’s expanding IP group,” said Albert. “The firm’s dedication to client service, and its experience handling cutting-edge IP issues, will be very beneficial for my current and future clients.”

Prior to practicing law, Albert spent several years as an electrical engineer.
