Lewis Brisbois Welcomes Timothy Swickard Back to Firm As Vice-Chair of Toxic Tort & Environmental Litigation Practice

Lewis Brisbois is pleased to welcome Timothy Swickard back to the firm as a partner in its Sacramento office, a vice-chair of its Toxic Tort & Environmental Litigation Practice, as well as a member of its Environment, Land, & Natural Resources Law and Government Affairs & Public Policy Practices. Mr. Swickard has more than 23 years of legal experience, including serving as the director and chief counsel for the California Environmental Protection Agency Department of Toxic Substances Control under Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. Mr. Swickard previously served as a partner in Lewis Brisbois’ Sacramento office between 2012 and 2018, before practicing with Greenberg Traurig over the last five years.

He currently focuses his practice on federal, state, and local government relations for permitting and licensure, regulatory due diligence, as well as compliance and government enforcement litigation. His practice includes matters involving environmental, real estate development, energy development, and transportation law issues. Mr. Swickard previously served as a partner in Lewis Brisbois’ Sacramento office between 2012 and 2018, before practicing with Greenberg Traurig over the last five years.

In discussing his decision to rejoin Lewis Brisbois, Mr. Swickard explained, “The number one thing I enjoy about Lewis Brisbois is its entrepreneurial spirit. Mr. Swickard earned his law degree from the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law and his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Davis. He is admitted to practice in California.
