Lewis Brisbois Grows Portland Products Liability, Construction Practices With New Hire

Lewis Brisbois is pleased to welcome Elizabeth D. MacGregor as a partner in its Portland office. Ms. MacGregor joins the firm’s Products Liability and Construction Practices and brings over two decades of experience litigating casualty, products liability, and construction defect cases. Prior to Joining the firm, MacGregor was partner at Lorber, Greenfield & Polito, LLP in Portland for six years.

Ms. MacGregor is a member of the Defense Resource Institute, the Oregon Association of Defense Counsel, and the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance. She frequently participates in panel presentations and educational seminars to provide guidance and analysis to attorneys, insurance carriers, and corporations on issues relating to construction defect and products liability litigation.

“I’m excited to be joining a firm with such a large national footprint,” said Ms. MacGregor, “and I’m looking forward to bringing the resources of Lewis Brisbois’ 50 offices to my clients while assisting my new colleagues with client matters in the Portland area.”

Ms. MacGregor is admitted in both Oregon and Washington and has argued cases before the Oregon Court of Appeals. Most recently, she obtained over $1 million from a subcontractor on behalf of her general contractor client in an arbitration proceeding.

Ms. MacGregor graduated with high distinction from the University of Iowa College of Law, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the Iowa Law Review. Prior to entering private practice, she clerked for a justice on the Missouri Supreme Court.
