Real Estate Pro Stanton E. Johnson Boosts Phoenix Real Estate Team at Squire Patton Boggs

Squire Patton Boggs is pleased to announce that Stanton E. Johnson has joined as partner in the firm’s global Real Estate Practice, resident in Phoenix. Mr. Johnson arrives from Quarles & Brady LLP where he was a partner and former chair of the Arizona Real Estate Practice Group.

“Phoenix continues to attract strong domestic and international interest in real estate investment and development. Stan’s in-depth knowledge of the market and breadth of experience in commercial real estate will bolster our US West and national real estate teams,” said John Thomas, chair of the global Real Estate Practice.

“We are excited to have Stan join the Phoenix office, deepening our strategic footprint in this geographic region,” said Lew Clark, office managing partner of the Phoenix office. “With strong ties in the local community, Stan is a dynamic and experienced individual who will be a tremendous asset to our clients and our firm.”

Mr. Johnson represents developers, investors, lenders, receivers and end-users in acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, development, land banking and financing. He has extensive experience with master planned communities, office, retail, industrial and mixed-use projects.

“Squire Patton Boggs’ full-service Real Estate team, with its collaborative nature and global outlook, will greatly complement the skills and experience I have developed in this industry,” said Mr. Johnson. “It is an exciting time to be joining the firm, which continues to expand in key markets across the world.”

Mr. Johnson is active in the Phoenix community. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute, the oldest and largest network of cross-disciplinary real estate and land use experts in the US, a former Board Member of Habitat for Humanity Central Arizona, and has provided pro bono service for Wills for Heroes, a national program providing essential legal documents to first responders.

The Phoenix office has invested in a number of additions over the past year, with the appointments of trial lawyers Richard M. Amoroso and Christina (Tina) Kelly, who joined in December. In February 2017, Kelly Singer rejoined in the Restructuring & Insolvency Practice after spending five years at Quarles & Brady.
