Morgan Lewis Continues Building White Collar Litigation Team With Addition of Harvey Bartle

Morgan Lewis continues to strengthen its litigation practice with the addition of former federal prosecutor Harvey Bartle, who rejoins the firm as a partner in Philadelphia and Princeton, NJ. With an emphasis on white collar litigation and government investigations matters, Mr. Bartle further enhances the firm’s deep bench of litigators.
“Harvey is a skilled trial lawyer and an outstanding colleague and we are proud to welcome him back to the team,” Firm Chair Jami McKeon said. “He brings demonstrated trial experience and an excellent leadership track record to our broad trial capabilities and global litigation services.”

Mr. Bartle was previously the Attorney-in-Charge of the US Attorney’s Office in Trenton, New Jersey, leading the day-to-day operations while supervising six Assistant US Attorneys and a caseload of criminal matters related to public corruption, economic crimes, and government fraud. Mr. Bartle’s cases included bank, mortgage, and investment fraud, money laundering, contract fraud and export control violations, cybercrime, national security, healthcare fraud, and tax crimes. During the eight years he served as an Assistant US Attorney, Mr. Bartle first-chaired numerous jury trials involving commercial bribery, extortion, and money laundering.

Before joining the US Attorney’s Office, Mr. Bartle was an associate at Morgan Lewis in the firm’s Washington, DC office.

“It is exciting to continue to build our team with a trial lawyer of Harvey’s caliber and experience,” said J. Gordon Cooney Jr., who leads the firm’s litigation practice. “Harvey’s advocacy and leadership experiences in the US Attorney’s Office will be invaluable to our firm clients who rely on us for their most critical matters.”
