McDermott creates Restructuring Practice in Paris with the Arrival of Timothée Gagnepain

International law firm McDermott Will & Emery has hired industry-renowned lawyer Timothée Gagnepain as a partner to establish a new department within the Paris office dedicated to Restructuring.

Admitted to the bar in both Paris and New York, Timothée has previously practiced in New York at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP, before joining its London, then Paris, offices. He was engaged primarily in leveraged buy-out and refinancing transactions as well as highly complex financial and industrial restructurings.

In 2006, he joined the firm Sonier & Associés in France where he acquired experience in both national and international restructuring projects (Eurotunnel, Smoby, Belvédère, Cœur Défense, for example). He subsequently joined law-firm Bremond & Associés in 2016.

Timothée holds a Diplôme D’études Supérieures Spécialisées (DESS) in international taxation (Paris II – HEC), and an LL.M from Columbia Law School.
