The global law firm Jones Day announces that Fabienne Beuzit will join the Firm’s Paris Office as a partner in its Business Restructuring & Reorganization Practice, accompanied by counsel Elodie Fabre and associate Rodolphe Carrière.

Ms. Beuzit’s nearly 20 years of experience has focused primarily on bankruptcy proceedings, court and out-of-court restructurings, and distressed M&A matters. She has represented debtors, lenders, shareholders, and investors in numerous restructuring situations, in France and internationally.

Ms. Beuzit has worked on numerous high-profile insolvency and reorganization cases in France, and has advised on major leveraged buyout (LBO) debt restructuring cases. She has extensive experience representing parties in prepackaged chapter 11 cases and has served as investors’ counsel on a broad range of asset deals (in or out of court).

“Throughout her career Fabienne has distinguished herself by the exceptional results she has delivered for clients,” said Bruce Bennett, who leads Jones Day’s global Business Restructuring & Reorganization Practice. “Her experience fits very well with our cross-border capabilities and our Practice in Europe and the U.S. I enthusiastically welcome her to Jones Day.”

Added Sophie Hagège, Partner-in-Charge of Jones Day’s Paris Office, “Having Fabienne here sends a very clear message that Jones Day remains committed to providing our clients access to the premier talent in the region. Along with Diane Sénéchal’s global finance experience and David Swinburne’s work in leveraged buyouts, both having acted on significant restructurings, Fabienne complements our multidisciplinary offering in Paris to guide our clients navigating difficult, complex restructuring situations all around the world. She will work closely with our London and New York teams. I look forward to her contributions and I welcome her to Jones Day.”

Ms. Beuzit is an active member of several professional organizations, including INSOL and the Association pour le Retournement de l’Entreprise (French Turnaround Association). She teaches restructuring at HEC-Paris Business School.

Ms. Fabre and Mr. Carrière have extensive experience (thirteen and seven years, respectively) advising debtors, investors, shareholders, insolvency practitioners, and creditors across a broad range of international and domestic restructuring and insolvency matters. Both have been involved in a number of significant LBO debt restructurings, insolvency proceedings, and distressed M&A transactions involving a wide range of sectors. Ms. Fabre has specific experience in handling major insolvency proceedings due to its previous experience by an insolvency practitioner. She also manages litigation concerning distressed and insolvency matters.
