Squire Patton Boggs Boosts Real Estate Practice With Double Partner Hire

Squire Patton Boggs has announced that it has strengthened its Real Estate Practice with the appointment of two senior lawyers from Gowling WLG. Alexandra Plain, the former Paris head of Real Estate, and Jérémy Roigt have joined the firm as partners in its Paris office.

Admitted to the Paris Bar and the New York Bar, Ms. Plain has over 18 years’ corporate real estate experience. She advises institutional and private investors, national and international funds, financial institutions and property developers on large-scale real estate acquisitions and disposals across Europe. She has a particular expertise in the hospitality sector, having advised on many significant hotel and leisure transactions.

Mr. Roigt acts for French and international institutional investors on all aspects of real estate, including acquisitions and disposals, asset management and advising on complex real estate projects. Before joining Gowling WLG, he was a senior associate at Baker & McKenzie.

Ms. Plain holds a Magistère in European Business Law from the University of Nancy II, a DESS-DJCE in corporate and tax law from the University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas and a LL.M. from New York University. Mr. Roigt holds a DESS in business law from the University of Paris IX Dauphine (Distinction), a Master 1 in Business Law from the University of Paris X Nanterre (Distinction) and a Master 1 in Finance from the University of Paris IX Dauphine (Distinction).

The Paris office of Squire Patton Boggs was established in 1995 and represents international and domestic clients on corporate/M&A, litigation, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution, competition, employment law, real estate, tax, and commercial and regulatory matters. The arrival of Ms. Plain and Mr. Roigt takes the total number of lawyers based in the Paris office to 42, 20 who are partners.
