Squire Patton Boggs has appointed Victor Datry as of counsel in its International Dispute Resolution (IDR) Practice from Alfredo de Jesús O. – Transnational Arbitration & Litigation. With a career spent at leading international arbitration law firms in Paris, Mr. Datry’s arrival sees him rejoin colleagues Sabrina Aïnouz and Jérôme Lehucher, part of a team that has grown substantially in Paris and continues to expand globally with recent hires in London and Washington, DC.

Mr. Datry has over 12 years’ experience in commercial and investor-state arbitration, annulment and enforcement proceedings. He has represented African, European, Central Asian and Latin American States and state-owned entities, as well as private sector companies in ICC, ICSID, SCC and UNCITRAL arbitrations involving various industries, including oil and gas, construction, mergers and acquisitions, nuclear, mining, agriculture and telecommunications. He also advises clients in the negotiation of petroleum and mining contracts.

Mr. Datry holds a master’s II degree in International Economic Law from Paris I – Panthéon-Sorbonne University and an LLM degree in International Dispute Resolution from Queen Mary University of London. He is admitted to practice in Paris and is fluent in French, English and Spanish.
