Benjamin Marché joins Eversheds Sutherland as head of its Banking & Finance offering in Paris

Eversheds Sutherland has appointed lateral partner hire Benjamin Marché to head its Banking & Finance offering in Paris. Benjamin joins the global law firm alongside Associate Yasmina Taki, both arrive from Squire Patton Boggs.

Their arrival from law firm, Squire Patton Boggs, further strengthens Eversheds Sutherland’s service offering, with a dedicated practice focused on LBO acquisition finance, infrastructure, and real estate financing.

Benjamin, Eversheds Sutherland’s 30th senior hire in the last 12 months, brings extensive experience in financing transactions, particularly in the context of acquisitions, both in France and internationally.

Admitted to the Paris Bar since 2011, Benjamin joined Squire Patton Boggs in 2022 having previously worked at several leading international law firms.

Benjamin advises lenders (senior, mezzanine, and unitranche), sponsors, and borrowers as well as clients on general banking matters including complex transactions involving restructurings and infrastructure and real estate financings. His practice spans all industry sectors.

Yasmina Taki is a lawyer specialising in leveraged acquisition finance and infrastructure financing. Her experience spans infrastructure and project finance as well as real estate financing.

Benjamin will lead a new team set to grow further in the coming months, with the objective of meeting the increasing needs of the firm’s clients in project finance, real estate finance, acquisition finance, corporate finance, and debt restructurings.
