International law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP announced today that David J. Greene has joined the Firm as a partner in its Private Funds Group, based in the New York and Washington, D.C. offices. David joins from Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, where he was a partner in the firm’s Investment Funds Practice.
David represents private fund sponsors in the formation, operation and management of private investment funds and related alternative asset arrangements. His practice spans global fundraising, structuring U.S. and international investment and operating platforms, negotiating strategic partnerships and co-investments, and advising on regulatory and compliance matters. He also advises sponsors across energy, infrastructure, power and renewables, oil and gas, financial services and other private investment strategies.
