International law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP announced today that Lindsay Flora will join the Firm as a partner in its Banking & Finance practice, based in the New York office. Lindsay arrives from Dechert, where she was a partner in that firm’s Global Finance practice leading borrower-side representations across the private equity, M&A and liability management spectrum.
With extensive experience in complex corporate transactions and high-yield financings, Lindsay advises leading private equity sponsors and firms, financial institutions, borrowers, lenders and both private and public companies on leveraged acquisitions, syndicated debt facilities, debt commitments, bridge loans and secured lending.
“We are thrilled to welcome Lindsay to the Firm,” said Weil Executive Partner Barry Wolf. “She is a highly accomplished corporate lawyer with extensive experience guiding borrower-side private equity and M&A financing transactions and will be an outstanding addition to our Banking & Finance team.”
“Lindsay is an exceptional finance lawyer with a track record of leading some of the market’s most challenging transactions,” said Michael J. Aiello, Chairman of Weil’s Corporate Department. “Building upon Weil’s premier private equity platform, she will deliver outstanding service to her long-standing sponsor clients and others across the Firm.”
“It is our great pleasure to welcome Lindsay as we further strengthen our Banking & Finance capabilities,” said Justin D. Lee and Andrew Colao, Co‑Heads of Weil’s Banking & Finance Group. “Her borrower‑side financing expertise, combined with her restructuring and liability management experience, will deepen our bench and support the continued growth of our global practice.”
Weil has expanded its market-leading Banking & Finance practice with notable recent additions. Anne Seymour rejoined the Firm and the practice in January, following the additions of lender-side partners Tom Hashagen and Meredith Mackey as well as sponsor-side partner Thomas Mastoras, enhancing Weil’s capabilities across a broad range of complex financing matters. Complementing those additions, Weil recently elevated two Banking & Finance lawyers to partner: Nick Nikic and Kai Zhang, effective January 1, 2026.
Earlier in her career, she was a corporate partner at another international law firm.
“I am thrilled to join Weil’s Banking & Finance team,” said Lindsay. “Weil is a top brand across its global platform and I have been impressed with the Firm’s clear commitment to strengthening its borrower-side and corporate finance capabilities. I am very excited to build on tremendous momentum at Weil – and I cannot wait to join this talented team.”
