International law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP announced today that Evan Levy has joined the Firm’s New York office as a partner. Mr. Levy will be a senior member of Weil’s market-leading Real Estate practice and will join its leadership team.

Mr. Levy joins Weil from Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, where he was head of the Real Estate Capital Markets practice. His practice focuses on real estate financings, private equity funds, workouts and restructurings, development projects, REITS and securities offerings. Mr. Levy has broad experience in all aspects of complex real estate transactions, representing borrowers and lenders; purchasers and sellers; fund sponsors and investors; debtors and creditors; developers and equity investors; and issuers and investors in all real estate asset classes.
