Steptoe Expands Commercial Litigation Practice with Addition of Two Partners Focused on Public Sector Organizations in Complex Civil Litigation in New York

Steptoe & Johnson LLP has announced the continued growth of its Commercial Litigation practice with the addition of New York-based partners Alan Klinger and Dina Kolker. Alan joins as the leader of Steptoe’s Labor practice and, along with Dina, will focus on representing public sector clients in complex civil litigation.

Alan Klinger focuses on clients who interact with federal, state and city government. His government relations work involves representing clients in administrative proceedings, health care and education. He provides outside counsel to the United Federation of Teachers, among others, serves as pro bono counsel to the Association of State Supreme Court Justices, and is co-author of the Commercial Division Chapter of Commercial Litigation in New York State Courts. Alan also sits on the Board of NYU School of Law, the Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, and is the Chair of the Anti Defamation League’s New York/NJ Region and member of its National Commission.

Dina Kolker’s practice concentrates on public sector labor relations, working with clients in New York City including the United Federation of Teachers, Association of Legislative Employees, and Council of School Supervisors & Administrators. She has represented clients in negotiations, arbitrations, administrative proceedings and litigation in both New York state and federal court.
