Regarded Litigator Seth Ensign Joins Ogletree Deakins as Shareholder in Salt Lake City

Ogletree Deakins, one of the largest labor and employment law firms representing management, is pleased to welcome Seth Ensign to the firm’s Salt Lake City office as a shareholder. Seth joins Ogletree Deakins from Fifth Partners, where he served as associate general counsel for four years.

With more than a dozen years of legal experience, Seth has a successful track record litigating complex employment and commercial matters. His practice focuses on the broad spectrum of employment law, including advice and counsel for employers on risk management, class actions, business torts, restrictive covenants, intellectual property disputes, workplace policies, employee discipline, executive departures, and day-to-day operations. Seth handles all stages of the litigation process from pre-dispute counseling through resolution.

Seth works with employers across a wide range of industries, including biotech, oil and gas, international advertising technology, and real estate. His ability to evaluate risk and lead litigation proceedings allows his practice to provide tremendous value to in-house counsel, risk managers, and other business principals in any vertical.

“When Seth and I worked together previously, I was always impressed with his intelligence, work ethic, and talent, and I am excited to work with him again,” said David C. Castleberry, office managing shareholder in Salt Lake City. “His time in-house has further bolstered his experience, knowledge, and skill set. He will have an immediate and positive impact on the clients we serve.”

Seth received his J.D., magna cum laude, from J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University and his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University.
