Proskauer Welcomes Capital Markets and Finance Partner Jonathan DeSantis

Proskauer, a leading international law firm, is pleased to welcome Jonathan “JD” DeSantis as a partner in its New York office. JD will join the Capital Markets and Leveraged Finance groups at Proskauer. Proskauer has one of the largest finance practices with over 30 partners globally, handling a full range of complex corporate finance matters. DeSantis joins from Shearman & Sterling.

With more than 20 years of legal experience, JD has represented a number of Fortune 500 companies and most of the major financial institutions in connection with capital markets and finance transactions, including IPOs and other equity offerings, investment grade bonds, high-yield bonds, investment grade debt facilities and leveraged bank financings.

JD received his B.A. from Dartmouth College and his J.D. from the New York University School of Law. 

JD is the third partner to join Proskauer this month. The Firm also announced the arrival of Robert Pohlus as an M&A partner in New York and Frazer Money as a Tax partner in London, bringing its total number of transactional hires to eight for 2022. Proskauer has also welcomed partners Joshua Apfelroth (M&A), Kristina Trauger (Capital Markets), Evan Palenschat (Private Credit), Robert Sutton (Private Funds) and Barry Newman (Finance) as it continues to increase the breadth and depth of the Firm’s transactional platform which provides a wide range of services to clients.
