Cooley has again bolstered the ranks of its global cyber/data/privacy team, welcoming Tiana Demas as a partner based in New York. Demas, who served as an assistant US attorney for more than a decade, joins Cooley from Facebook, where she was associate general counsel of cybersecurity and investigations. She previously served as deputy chief of general crimes at the US Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York.

Allen & Overy today announced that Adam Sofen has joined the firm from Sullivan & Cromwell LLP as a partner based out of A&O’s New York offices. Sofen’s practice focuses on the commercial real estate market, and lends itself to capturing the real estate related financing and equity work that is a natural extension of A&O’s existing engagements. He will integrate into Allen & Overy’s transactional practices, including Corporate M&A, Private Equity, and Restructuring, among others.
