Raises at Gibbons Del Deo
New Jersey-based firm Gibbons, Del Deo, Dolan, Griffinger & Vecchione announced associate raises effective as of January 1 for its New York and Newark offices. First-year associates will earn $125,000 for 2007, a 23% increase over its 2006 rate. Gibbons Del Deo employs 200 attorneys and has additional offices in Trenton and Philadelphia.

NY Firm Expands Office, Staff
New York firm Covington & Burling has moved to a larger office, having doubled in size over the last six years. The firm expects continued growth, with plans to hire 5-10 laterals per year in the future. Covington employs 520 lawyers worldwide with additional offices in Washington, San Francisco, Brussels, and London.

New Jersey Firm Opens London Office
Riker, Danzig, Scherer, Hyland & Perretti has opened a new London office aimed at insurance and reinsurance clients. Initially the office will house six attorneys, with plans to expand and add commercial litigation and banking practices as well.
