King & Spalding Welcomes Capital Markets Partner Allison Bell to Corporate Practice Group in New York

King & Spalding announced today that Allison Bell has joined the firm’s Corporate practice group as a partner in the firm’s New York office. Bell joins King & Spalding from Kirkland & Ellis, where she was a partner.

Bell has extensive experience with a variety of capital markets transactions and corporate governance matters. Her practice focuses on the representation of issuers, underwriters and sponsors in a wide range of securities matters, including initial public offerings and other equity and debt offerings, tender offers and general corporate matters, as well as mergers and acquisitions. She also advises public companies on U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission reporting obligations and disclosure matters.

“Allison brings the energy, drive and skill set crucial for the firm as we continue to expand our presence in New York and build on the capital markets and public company work we do for our clients,” said Keith Townsend, co-leader of the firm’s Corporate practice group. “Allison has deep experience working with large private equity firms and their portfolio companies, which we will rely on as we continue to take on more capital markets work from our private equity clients.”

Bell earned her B.A. from Boston College and her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School.

“King & Spalding’s collaborative environment, excellent reputation and strong momentum in the marketplace were very appealing to me as I considered the next step in my career and where I would have the best opportunity to grow my practice,” said Bell. “I am eager to jump in to help the continued growth of the New York office, the Corporate team and the firm overall.”
