Fried Frank announced today that Corinne Musa has joined the firm as a fund finance partner in New York. Corinne brings significant experience advising sponsors and alternative lenders and capital sources on the most complex, bespoke fund financing transactions in the market. Musa arrives at the firm from Akin in New York.
“Corinne is an outstanding addition to Fried Frank and reflects our continued investment in our leading Fund Finance Practice,” said Steven Epstein, Fried Frank’s managing partner. “We are delighted to welcome Corinne to the firm.”
Corinne has built her practice advising on high-stakes fund finance matters, where she has developed a reputation for navigating complex credit arrangements for global sponsors, among other clients. Her experience spans the full spectrum of fund financings — including CFOs and rated note feeders and other bespoke liquidity solutions, along with subscription, NAV and hybrid facilities — further bolstering the firm’s capacity to handle the market’s most innovative financing solutions. Beyond her core practice, she brings deep experience in acquisition finance and strategic counsel for atypical asset-backed financings.
“Adding a partner with Corinne’s specific depth in complex, top-of-market fund finance transactions was a top priority for us as the fund finance market continues to evolve and clients seek increasingly customized financing solutions,” said Ariel Zell, partner and co-head of the firm’s Fund Finance Practice. “Corinne is an excellent addition to our team.”
Corinne joins Fried Frank amid a period of continued strategic growth, with the firm adding 12 partners across its transactional, litigation and strategic advisory practices in the past year.
“Corinne’s arrival marks another milestone in the growth of our practice, which includes the recent addition of fund finance partner John Oberdorf III,” said Adam D. Summers, partner and co-head of the firm’s Fund Finance Practice. “We are delighted to welcome her to Fried Frank and look forward to the added sophistication, energy and perspective she will bring to our team.”
