Joel M. Ferdinand, Global General Counsel and Managing Partner of the Firm’s Litigation Practice, said:

“We are delighted to welcome Mike to our team in New York. He brings a wealth of experience to our growing intellectual property practice and is an invaluable addition to our patent litigation team. He is a first-chair litigator with a deep understanding of complex technology, a rare combination of skills that will greatly benefit our clients facing difficult intellectual property challenges.”

Michael M. Murray said:

“After twenty years in a traditional ‘Big Law’ practice, I was looking for a firm that would offer something different to my clients. While many firms in these difficult times are finally starting to rethink the conventional model of palatial offices and sky-high rates, FisherBroyles has been leading the way for nearly twenty years with an alternative model that focuses on the delivery of superb legal services at competitive rates. I look forward to contributing to the continued success of FisherBroyles’ intellectual property practice.”

Mike represents clients in intellectual property matters, focusing on patent disputes in high technology fields. Backed by undergraduate studies in electrical engineering and physics, Mike has more than 30 years of experience representing many of the world’s leading electronics companies. In addition to litigating complex cases in federal courts across the U.S., he routinely appears before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board at the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, where he has been admitted to practice since 1987.

Mike received his B.E. from Manhattan College in Electrical Engineering and earned a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. He has frequently lectured and written on intellectual property issues and has taught an honors-level course in computer law as an Adjunct Professor.
