Cooley Expands Public Companies Group in New York

Sarah Sellers has joined Cooley’s public companies practice group as a partner in New York. Arriving from WilmerHale, Sellers has extensive experience advising public companies on a broad range of corporate, securities, transactional and governance matters.

“Sarah brings with her the business-savvy know-how that our expansive public companies platform demands,” said Chadwick Mills, who co-chairs Cooley’s public companies practice group alongside Nicole Brookshire. “Our clients’ needs are increasing daily, and Sarah’s arrival will be key in continuing to support their long-term growth. We are thrilled to have her on board and to continue to expand our public companies practice with yet another exceptional corporate partner.”

Sellers’ practice focuses on counseling public companies with respect to securities and corporate matters, including US Securities and Exchange Commission and stock exchange reporting, disclosure and compliance, corporate governance, strategic matters, and corporate and financial transactions, including financings, mergers and acquisitions, and other business transactions. She has advised clients across industries that include life sciences, technology, professional services and consumer products. Additionally, she has significant experience representing companies and underwriters in debt, equity and equity-linked securities offerings.

“I am thrilled to join Cooley’s dedicated and industry-leading public companies’ team during this time of exceptional growth,” said Sellers. “I look forward to partnering with and serving as a go-to for public and private companies at a firm that combines a remarkable track record with a highly inclusive and collaborative culture.”
