Brown Rudnick Continues to Expand its Corporate Team With the Addition of Jeremy I. Bohrer

Brown Rudnick LLP, an international Am Law 200 law firm with offices in the US and Europe, announced today that Jeremy I. Bohrer has joined the Firm as a Partner in the Corporate & Capital Markets practice, resident in the New York office.

Mr. Bohrer is formerly the principal of JIB Advisors, LLC in New York, a strategic consulting firm focused primarily on hedge funds, portfolio managers, private partnerships and capital allocators. He has also previously served as the General Counsel of AIG’s institutional broker dealer and the Chief Operating Officer & General Counsel of Level Global Investors, L.P., a $4+ billion hedge fund.

Mr. Bohrer combines a deep understanding of the law with a sensibility that can only be obtained from having played an integral role in building, operating, monetizing, and, ultimately, winding down a highly successful commercial enterprise. In short, he has been a fiduciary and client himself.

Leveraging this first-hand experience, Jeremy’s practice focuses on providing his clients with pragmatic and savvy advice ranging, for example, from SEC/ DOJ investigations and high-profile white collar defense matters; regulatory and enterprise risk assessment and management; crisis management; reputational matters and press relations; to fund formation and partnership issues; compensation and HR issues; counterparty relationships; portfolio transactions; investor activism as well as strategic deals and combinations.

“We are delighted to welcome Jeremy to the Firm,” said Brown Rudnick Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Joseph F. Ryan. “New York is a key strategic market for the Firm’s continued growth, and Jeremy is an important addition who will enhance our presence in the financial services arena. He is well known and highly regarded in the hedge fund industry and, more broadly, in the alternative asset management space. In addition, Jeremy brings an important and innovative perspective of how to navigate the challenging regulatory and enforcement environment in which many of our clients operate today.”

Sam Williams, Managing Director of Brown Rudnick’s Corporate and Capital Markets Department, added, “Having spent the majority of his career as senior internal counsel and a C-suite executive, Jeremy is able to speak his clients’ language and proactively anticipate their needs. Clients will benefit tremendously from his broad and bespoke experience.”

“I am very pleased to be joining Brown Rudnick, a firm with an entrepreneurial spirit. Our firm’s bench is deep and impressive,” said Mr. Bohrer. “It was clear to me from day one of talking to Brown Rudnick that the environment is collegial; the firm “gets it” and the clients’ needs come first.”

Mr. Bohrer is a graduate of Tufts University and earned his J.D. at Washington University.
