BakerHostetler announces the addition of Tom L’Helias, Erik Mengwall and Mike Ginzburg as partners in the firm’s New York office. Joining the Business Practice Group and the Mergers and Acquisitions team, the trio brings extensive experience in high-stakes transactions, signaling a significant expansion of the firm’s corporate capabilities for financial and strategic buyers.

The arrival of this veteran team follows a period of robust growth for BakerHostetler’s New York presence, building on the recent additions of Andy Arsiotis, Josh Saidlower, Henry Zangara and Steve Rockoff. Collectively, these moves deepen the firm’s expertise across M&A, Private Equity and Debt Finance.

Meet the Partners
Tom L’Helias focuses on M&A, capital markets and private equity. He represents a broad spectrum of clients, from Fortune 500 companies to multinational financial institutions and funds. He earned his J.D. from the Boston University School of Law.

Erik Mengwall provides counsel to public and private companies on domestic and cross-border transactions, including business combinations and public offerings. His background includes experience as both in-house and external counsel. He earned his J.D., with honors, from The George Washington University Law School.

Mike Ginzburg advises financial sponsors and companies on leveraged buyouts, minority investments and recapitalizations. His practice also includes negotiating complex commercial contracts and advising on strategic corporate matters. He earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School.
