Amanda Gill Joins Goodwin’s Leading Public M&A Practice in New York

Global law firm Goodwin today announced that Amanda Gill joined the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions practice and Life Sciences group as a partner, resident in the New York office. Gill arrives from Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP.

“As both the size and sophistication of M&A transactions have materially increased in recent years, having a versatile client offering and team is critical,” said Lisa Haddad, co-chair of Goodwin’s Public M&A and Corporate Governance practice. “Amanda’s range of experience is an excellent addition to our strong bench of public M&A and life sciences lawyers. We are delighted she is joining the firm as we continue to deliver exceptional client service.”

Amanda advises clients on public and private company mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, joint ventures, carve-outs, and other significant transactions, including private equity and venture capital transactions. She also advises clients on activist defense and corporate governance matters.

Goodwin has been named the number one firm (by deal count) for global M&A by Refinitiv in its full-year 2020, 2021 & 2022 league tables. In the FY 2022 Refinitiv Global M&A league tables, Goodwin advised clients on 1,028 M&A transactions — 202 more deals than any other law firm. In addition to these results, the H1 2023 league tables highly ranked Goodwin for its ability to advise clients throughout a variety of M&A and Private Equity transactions in multiple jurisdictions, including being named number one firm by deal count for Global M&A by Refinitiv and for European Buyouts by Mergermarket.

The Life Sciences practice works with companies throughout the corporate lifecycle – from startup and commercial-stage to maturity – as well as investors, banks, and others in the life sciences ecosystem.
