Greenberg Traurig Continues to Expand its M&A Practice with the Addition of Daniel Serota in New York

The international law firm Greenberg Traurig LLP, announced that Daniel Serota has joined its New York City office as a Shareholder in the Corporate & Securities Practice.

Serota focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, and corporate governance matters.

“Daniel is well-known in the industry, especially for his M&A and private equity work,” said David Schwartzbaum, Co-Chair of Greenberg Traurig’s Global M&A Steering Committee. “We are fortunate to be adding him to our team, and we will continue to strategically grow our practice to meet our clients’ needs.”

Serota has represented both buy-side and sell-side parties in complex auctions, mergers, stock and asset purchases tender offers, joint ventures, hostile offers, proxy contests, takeover defense, and transactions in bankruptcy or with distressed entities.

Serota holds a J.D. from Columbia Law School where he was a James Kent Scholar and Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, and a B.A. from the University of Michigan. Prior to joining Greenberg Traurig, Serota was Counsel at Linklaters. Prior to that, he practiced at Sullivan & Cromwell where he was an associate from 2001 to 2009 and then became Special Counsel from 2010 to 2011.

Serota joins a number of recent additions to Greenberg Traurig’s M&A practice. Recent additions include Dennis J.
