Latham & Watkins LLP is pleased to announce that Claudia T. Salomon has joined the firm’s New York office as a partner in the Litigation Department. Salomon joins Latham with almost two decades of experience in complex international disputes. She has extensive experience advising in investor treaty arbitration and international commercial arbitration cases.
Salomon has first-chaired numerous commercial arbitrations around the world, including representing private entities in New York, Paris, Houston, Singapore, London and Miami. She also brings a wealth of experience advising on investment treaty arbitration, having represented a number of sovereign states, including Oman, Thailand, Georgia and the Czech Republic.

Global Arbitration Review named her among the world’s top 30 women in international arbitration and among its “45 under 45” in international arbitration. She is also recognized by Chambers & Partners as a leading lawyer, with the guide describing her as a “fantastic lawyer” and noting “she is excellent in terms of both obtaining results and her level of client service.”
Salomon joins the firm from DLA Piper. She received her law degree, cum laude, from Harvard Law School in 1994 and her undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, from Brandeis University in 1991. She serves on the ICC Commission on Arbitration and has previously served as chair of the Young Arbitrator’s Forum.
