William Sturman Joins Covington’s Private Equity Practice

William L. Sturman has joined Covington & Burling’s corporate practice as a partner, strengthening the firm’s private equity fund formation capabilities. He will be resident in Covington’s New York office.

Mr. Sturman counsels private equity fund sponsors and investors on a wide range of fund formation and regulatory issues. He has extensive experience advising on seeding arrangements for early generation funds and fund managers and investment professionals’ carried interest arrangements. Most recently, Mr. Sturman practiced as a private equity partner at another international law firm.
