McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP (MLA) is pleased to announce that Richard “Dick” L. Sigal has joined the firm’s Public Finance group as a Partner. He will work out of the firm’s New York City office.
Sigal’s excellence in developing innovative financing program plans and his skill in providing legal counsel once a plan has been instituted have been demonstrated throughout his career. He has drafted significant financing legislation in many states including Alaska, California, Connecticut, Indiana, Montana, New Jersey, New York, West Virginia and Wyoming, as well as for the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia.
“With the wealth of Dick’s knowledge and experience, he will play a valuable role in the continued growth of the firm’s Public Finance practice nationally,” said Ambassador Gordon Giffin, MLA’s New York Executive Partner. “His proficiency will further enhance the service offerings of our northeast office in New York City, particularly relating to the issuers and underwriters of state, municipal, public authority and non-profit municipal bonds.”
Sigal has extensive public finance experience in areas of distressed state, local and programmatic restructuring, state housing finance, state and local general obligation finance, public-private partnerships, securitization, special fund financings, transportation and validation.
