Aileen Meehan Joins Edwards Wildman as a Partner in the Insurance And Reinsurance Department

Edwards Wildman Palmer LLP is pleased to announce that Aileen Meehan is a new partner in the firm’s Insurance and Reinsurance Department, where she brings more than 25 years of experience as a corporate transactional lawyer. Meehan will reside in the firm’s office in New York City.

Meehan focuses her practice on public and private mergers and acquisitions, stock and asset acquisitions, purchases and sales of private companies, and offerings of debt and equity securities, primarily in the insurance, retail and healthcare sectors. She counsels clients on matters related to SEC filings and corporate governance matters. Meehan comes to Edwards Wildman from Day Pitney, where she practiced in the Corporate and Business Law Department.

“The depth and breadth of mergers and acquisitions experience Aileen brings is a great asset to our clients in New York and around the world,” said Charles R. Welsh, the partner-in-charge of Edwards Wildman’s Hartford office and chair of the firm’s Regulatory and Transaction practice group. “We are pleased that another talented, experienced partner is joining our growing office in New York. She will be a terrific asset.”

Meehan’s arrival in New York comes shortly after the October 2012 arrival of Albert Pinzon, a partner in the Business Law Department whose practice is primarily in capital markets and insurance. Pinzon and Meehan have complementary practices.

Meehan earned her undergraduate degree from Princeton University and her law degree from New York University School of Law. She is admitted to practice in New York.
