Simpson Thacher is representing Fast Retailing Co., Ltd. (TYO: 9983) in its announced acquisition of 80% of the outstanding equity of J Brand Holdings, LLC. The transaction is expected to close prior to year end.
J Brand Holdings, with its brand name of “J Brand,” is a trend-setting, premium denim company. Fast Retailing is a leading global retailing company headquartered in Japan that designs, manufactures and sells clothing under six main brands: Helmut Lang, Comptoir des Cotonniers, g.u., Princesse tam.tam, Theory and UNIQLO.
