Chadbourne Represents Southern Copper Corporation in a $1.5 Billion Notes Offering

Chadbourne & Parke represented Southern Copper Corporation, one of the largest integrated copper producers in the world, in its public offering of $1.5 billion aggregate principal amount of unsecured notes. The deal closed on November 8.

The notes consist of $300 million 3.500% Notes due 2022 and $1.2 billion 5.250% Notes due 2042.

Southern Copper, a subsidiary of Grupo Mexico, is listed on both the NYSE and Lima Stock Exchange. Southern Copper operates mining units and metallurgical facilities in Mexico, and Peru and conducts exploration activities in Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Mexico and Peru.

Working on the notes offering for Chadbourne were New York office partners Allen Miller and Sey-Hyo Lee, visiting attorney Pablo Salcedo Veroi and law clerk Gabrielle DiBernardi.
