Edwin Larkin Joins Edwards Wildman as a Litigation Partner in New York

Edwards Wildman Palmer LLP is pleased to announce that Edwin M. Larkin, a highly accomplished commercial litigator and a leading authority on electronic discovery, is a new partner in the Litigation Department. Larkin will base his practice in the firm’s New York City office.

Larkin specializes in complex commercial litigation, including class actions, securities, antitrust, breach of fiduciary duty and other claims, as well as corporate internal investigations. He is an experienced trial lawyer, having conducted numerous jury and bench trials in state and federal courts in New York and other jurisdictions. In the area of e-discovery, Larkin is a leading authority on the identification, collection, processing and review of electronically stored data, directing case teams on e-discovery matters and advising clients on policies and procedures to handle e-discovery issues. He also writes and lectures on the subject.

“Ed’s ability to direct large litigation teams in complex, high-profile litigations in a wide variety of disputes will be a tremendous asset,” said Daryl J. Lapp, a partner and co-chair of the Litigation Department at Edwards Wildman. “In addition, Ed’s e-discovery experience will be of enormous value to our clients, who look to us for counsel and guidance in this ever-changing area.”

Larkin comes to Edwards Wildman from Venable, where he was a partner in the Litigation Department. Previously, he spent 13 years with Winston & Strawn, serving as the firm’s east coast chairperson of the e-Discovery and Electronic Information practice group. Larkin earned his undergraduate and law degrees from Georgetown University. He is admitted to practice in New York and several federal trial courts and courts of appeal.

Larkin comes to the firm shortly after the arrival of Albert Pinzon, a capital markets partner who began work in New York on October 24.
