Jeffrey P. Rosenstein and Kenneth D. O’Reilly Join Troutman Sanders’ New York Office

The law firm of Troutman Sanders LLP is pleased to announce the addition of both Jeffrey P. Rosenstein as partner and Kenneth D. O’Reilly as of counsel to its construction practice group in New York.

Prior to joining Troutman Sanders, Rosenstein was a partner at Winston & Strawn LLP and Thelen Reid & Priest LLP. His practice focuses on the needs of construction industry participants and he advises clients on all phases of construction projects, including contract negotiation and drafting, counseling during construction, and the resolution of project disputes.

Rosenstein’s experience includes the review and preparation of all types of construction agreements and he routinely counsels clients on risk management issues and dispute avoidance. When claims cannot be avoided, Rosenstein handles the litigation of construction project disputes and has extensive experience with all forms of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) involving the full range of issues that arise on construction projects, including defects and claims for extra work, delay and disruption issues (actual and constructive acceleration and claims for lost productivity), incomplete and defective design, inadequate and uncoordinated project management, differing site conditions, cardinal change, denial of site access, improper inspections, safety violations, rejection and repair of nonconforming work, terminations for default and convenience, lien and bond issues, and post-completion warranty issues.

In both 2012 and 2013, Rosenstein was recognized in the Best Lawyers in America in the area of construction law.

Rosenstein received a J.D. from The George Washington University in 1992, and a B.A. from Colgate University in 1989. He is admitted to practice in both New York and New Jersey.

O’Reilly also comes to Troutman Sanders from Winston & Strawn LLP and focuses his practice on construction, infrastructure, and engineering matters, including contract negotiations and drafting in addition to general commercial dispute resolution and litigation. He has represented clients in a wide range of matters involving major construction disputes, class actions, asset-based financing, toxic tort, personal injury defense, securities, Dormant Commerce Clause litigation, copyright, trademark, contracts, and business tort issues.

O’Reilly received a J.D. from University of Maryland in 1995, an M.A. from Johns Hopkins University in 1988 and a B.A. from Clark University.
