Davis Polk – Cencosud S.A. $2.5 Billion Acquisition Financing

Davis Polk advised JPMorgan Chase Bank, National Association as administrative agent, and J.P. Morgan Securities LLC as arranger of the financing in connection with Cencosud S.A.’s $2.5 billion acquisition of the Colombian operations of Carrefour S.A., the world’s second-largest retailer by sales.

Cencosud S.A. is one of the largest retail conglomerates in Latin America with operations in Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Peru. Its businesses include supermarkets, home centers, department stores, shopping malls and financial services. Cencosud is publicly listed on the Santiago Stock Exchange.
