White-Collar Crime Lawyer Marion Bachrach Joins T&K in New York

The law firm of Thompson & Knight LLP is pleased to announce the addition of Marion Bachrach as a Partner in the Firm’s Trial and Government practices in New York.

She has more than 30 years of experience handling complex criminal and civil litigation and investigations. Bachrach focuses her practice on white-collar criminal defense, internal investigations, and complex regulatory and civil actions. She represents both institutional and individual clients and has considerable experience counseling professionals, including lawyers, executives, accountants, and physicians.

For six years, Bachrach served as Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Eastern District of New York, where she held the additional positions of Chief of General Crimes and Deputy Chief of the Criminal Division. She is an Adjunct Professor at Cornell Law School and Columbia School of Law and is admitted to practice in New York and Massachusetts. She has published a chapter in a leading treatise and articles in the New York Law Journal, and she has been recognized in New York Super Lawyers® by Thomson Reuters for multiple years.

Bachrach received a J.D., cum laude, from Cornell University School of Law in 1977; an M.A., cum laude, in French Literature from Middlebury/Universite de Paris (Sorbonne) in 1973; and a B.A., cum laude, from Syracuse University in 1972. After graduating from law school, she clerked for the Honorable Joseph L. Tauro, U.S. District Judge for the District of Massachusetts. Since 1986, she has been in private practice at DePetris & Bachrach, LLP, where she specialized in white-collar crime and fraud-related matters.
