Antoinette L. Banks Joins Harris Beach

Harris Beach is pleased to announce that Antoinette L. Banks has joined the firm as a partner in the New York City office practicing in the Insurance Litigation and Product Liability Defense and Mass Torts and Industry-Wide Litigation Practice Groups. Her practice concentrates in insurance coverage, toxic tort, product liability, environmental, construction accident, property damage losses, appeals and commercial litigation. She has litigated and counseled clients on a wide range of insurance coverage issues, including disputes arising out of environmental liability, toxic tort exposure, additional insured claims, first-party property claims, professional liability, directors and officers liability, and bad faith claims. Ms. Banks also provides defense to insureds and commercial clients in connection with toxic torts, products liability claims, contract disputes, construction and Labor Law claims, insurance premium disputes, and reformation and rescission claims. Ms. Banks’ practice includes arbitrations, mediations, trials and appeals in state and federal courts throughout the United States.

Ms. Banks received her JD, cum laude, in 1997 from Boston University School of Law and her BA in 1987 from the University of California, Berkeley. She is a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and National Association of Insurance Women. She authored the article, “Insurer Prevails on the Meaning of ‘Collapse’,” published in the November 2004 edition of RiskVue. She has also given presentations at clients’ offices on a range of topics.
