BakerHostetler’s Employment and Labor Group Continues Expansion: Jay Krupin and Ana Salper Join Firm

BakerHostetler announced today that Jay P. Krupin and Ana S. Salper have joined the firm’s Employment and Labor Group as Partners. Krupin will be the firm’s National Labor and Employment Practice Team Leader for Industry Sectors and will reside in Washington, D.C. Salper, along with Associate Paul Rosenberg, will be in the Firm’s New York office. All three come to BakerHostetler from Epstein, Becker & Green, P.C.

In his practice, Krupin represents many national and international businesses, counseling on appropriate employment procedures. He represents businesses across the United States, advising on federal and state labor, employment and personnel law issues and defending them before administrative agencies and in court proceedings.

Krupin is well-versed in management-union issues, employment discrimination matters and wage hour practices and has represented corporate clients in virtually every aspect of labor and employment law. In traditional labor relations matters, he has successfully negotiated more than 350 collective bargaining agreements and has represented companies in more than 100 union elections and campaigns. Additionally, Krupin has directed the defense of EEO charges, wage hour compliance, sexual harassment investigations, ADA claims, DOL audits, OSHA compliance, family and medical leave issues and wrongful termination claims. He works with multinational corporations to establish effective procedures for dealing with labor relations and business immigration problems.

Krupin has testified before the U.S. Congress on labor legislation, as well as before the National Labor Relations Board on rulemaking proposals. Since 2010, Human Resource Executive magazine has listed him on Lawdragon’s Top 100 list of “The Nation’s Most Powerful Employment Attorneys.” He earned his J.D. from St. Louis University School of Law and an LL.M. in Labor Law from Georgetown University.

While at Epstein, Becker & Green, P.C., Krupin was chair of the firm’s National Labor Steering Committee, head of the Hospitality Labor and Employment practice group and chair of the firm’s Health Employment and Labor Group.

Salper is an experienced litigator and counselor for employers on all aspects of the employment relationship, including employment discrimination, wage and hour law, employment contracts and separation agreements, layoffs and reductions in force. She has successfully represented management on a wide array of traditional labor issues, including unfair labor practice charges, representation and decertification election proceedings, grievances and arbitrations, and has chaired numerous collective bargaining negotiations. Salper has litigated on behalf of employers before federal courts of appeals, as well as state and federal courts and administrative agencies across the United States. Salper earned her B.A. from Columbia University, and a J.D. from the Northwestern University School of Law.

Rosenberg represents and counsels clients on diverse labor and employment matters. He was a judicial clerk in the Office of the Chief Judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County and also served as a law clerk for the National Football League (NFL) Management Council.
