Kenneth A. Wright, Jr. Joins SNR Denton’s Capital Markets Practice in New York

SNR Denton announced today that Kenneth A. Wright Jr. has joined the firm as a partner in its Capital Markets practice. Wright joins from Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and will reside in SNR Denton’s New York office.

“I am pleased to welcome Ken to SNR Denton,” said Stephen Kudenholdt, head of SNR Denton’s Capital Markets practice. “He is a high-caliber lawyer with broad and deep experience in a wide variety of securitization and structured financing transactions, involving numerous asset types, and he will diversify the range of services that we can offer clients. He also has long-term relationships with major banks and financial institutions, both in and outside the United States.”

Wright represents issuers, underwriters, placement agents, dealers, credit enhancers, lenders, private investors, investment advisers and other market participants in a wide variety of financial transactions. He has acted as counsel in public and private financings involving numerous traditional asset classes and structures, such as trade accounts payable, automobile loans/leases, equipment leases, credit cards, investment grade and high-yield debt securities, dealer floorplanning loans, health care receivables, credit-linked notes, commercial loans and premium finance, as well as more innovative financings involving distressed assets in debt restructuring/insolvency matters, structured settlements, life settlements and insurance-backed securities.

“The addition of Ken to our New York office is further testament to SNR Denton’s standing as a global financial markets powerhouse,” said Bob McCarthy, managing partner of SNR Denton’s New York office. “Ken’s background adds increased depth to our established capital markets bench and our clients will benefit greatly from his broad expertise.”

Wright also has represented financial institutions in numerous asset-backed commercial paper and medium-term note programs. His experience includes representing capital markets participants in establishing such programs and in a wide variety of asset purchase, secured loan and restructuring transactions involving those programs, including cross-border financings and warehouses. He also has represented many sellers and borrowers in capital markets financings.

“I look forward to working with the team of highly talented lawyers and professionals that SNR Denton has assembled both in the United States and around the world,” Wright said. “The firm’s capital markets group, together with its strategic focus, complements and strengthens my practice in many ways.”

Wright received his J.D. from Columbia Law School and his A.B. from Harvard College, magna cum laude.
