Securitization, Structured Finance Attorney Keith Krasney Joins Locke Lord’s New York Office as a Partner in Corporate Practice

Securitization and structured finance attorney Keith Krasney has joined Locke Lord’s New York office as a Partner in the international Firm’s Corporate and Transactional Department and will chair the Firm’s Securitization and Structured Finance group. He has 25 years of experience in securitization and structured finance as well as mortgage finance, and he will boost the New York office’s client services in the Firm’s well respected national Corporate Practice.

Krasney represents industry participants in the securitization and financing of servicer advance receivables, residential mortgage loans, commercial mortgage loans, credit card receivables, equipment leases, student loans, re-securitizations, Collateralized Debt Obligations and other assets. He has extensive experience in warehouse financings, bulk sales and purchases of financial assets, commercial paper conduit transactions, servicing rights purchases and sales, and servicing engagements. In addition, Krasney is experienced in analysis and due diligence regarding hedge fund and private equity investment in financial institutions and performing and non-performing assets. He comes to Locke Lord from Nixon Peabody, where he led its securitization and structured finance team.

Krasney regularly counsels clients on regulatory developments affecting securitization and related areas.

He earned his law degree from Columbia University School of Law where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, an honor that recognizes superior academic achievement. Krasney is a member of the Business Law section of the American Bar Association. He is a frequent writer and speaker at industry events and has been published in Securities Law360,Global Private Equity and M&A Legal GuideThe Journal of Structured Finance and Global Securitization and Structured Finance.
