Business and Employment Litigator Robert J. Brener Joins LeClairRyan

Robert J. Brener has joined the law firm of LeClairRyan as a partner on the Business Litigation and Labor and Employment Practice Area Teams. He will be resident in the national law firm’s Newark, N.J. and New York, N.Y. offices.

Brener, formerly of Edwards Wildman Palmer LLP, represents corporations and banks in federal and state courts throughout the country in matters involving complex commercial and corporate disputes including contract, fraud, intellectual property, unfair competition, and lender liability claims. Additionally, he represents employers in all facets of labor and employment matters and has successfully defended employers in cases involving claims of discrimination on the basis of age, sex, sexual harassment, race, national origin, religion, sexual orientation and disability. Brener is also experienced in handling claims that arise under various state and federal statutes involving diverse issues such as family medical leave, whistleblowing, wage and hour regulation, unlawful competition, violation of restrictive covenants and theft of trade secrets.

He is a graduate of American University Law School (J.D.) and Northwestern University (B.A.) and is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York.
