Alexander Moon Joins Sidley Austin’s Global Finance Practice

Sidley Austin LLP is pleased to announce that Alexander Moon is joining the Firm’s global finance practice as a partner in the New York office. Mr. Moon’s practice includes the representation of U.S. and international banks based in Europe and Asia in a range of secured and unsecured financings, with a particular focus on the financing of commodities in domestic and cross-border contexts.

Mr. Moon’s broader transactional experience also includes the representation of financial institutions in a variety of corporate financing activities, including general commercial lending (ranging from complex syndicated loans with multiple currencies and tranches to single lender loans), project financing, acquisition financing, letter of credit and trade finance facilities, commercial real estate and hospitality financing, private equity and hedge fund investments, United States Export-Import Bank supported financings, and various structured financing transactions (including receivables financing and tax-structured funding mechanisms).

Mr. Moon earned his J.D. from New York University School of Law, his M.B.A. from New York University and his B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Columbia University. He is a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and the Inter-Pacific Bar Association.
