Shearman & Sterling Advises on the Republic of Guatemala’s US$700 Million Rule 144A/Regulation S Offering of Notes

Shearman & Sterling advised Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. as sole lead manager and bookrunner in connection with the Republic of Guatemala’s Rule 144A/Regulation S offering of its 5.750% notes due 2022 for an aggregate principal amount of US$700 million.

The net proceeds from the offering will be used by the Republic of Guatemala to pay interest and principal on its outstanding debt obligations and the remainder to finance social and investment programs and capital expenditures.
