White & Case Represents Talbots in Its Pending Sale to an Affiliate of Sycamore Partners

Global law firm White & Case LLP is representing NYSE-listed Talbots, a leading specialty retailer and direct marketer of women’s apparel, shoes and accessories, in its pending sale to an affiliate of Sycamore Partners, a private equity firm.

Talbots entered into a merger agreement providing for the acquisition by an affiliate of Sycamore Partners of all of the outstanding common stock of Talbots for $2.75 per share in cash. The transaction is valued at approximately $369 million, including net debt, and is expected to close in the third quarter of this year. Once the deal closes, Talbots will be operating as a private company.
