Partner Set to Join Investment Funds Division of New York Legal Practice

International law firm Sidley Austin announced a new hire for a New York legal job, according to a press release.

Timothy J. Clark comes aboard the investment funds, advisers and derivatives practice of Sidley Austin as a partner, the law firm announced on Monday. His practice concentrates on serving private fund clients on a worldwide basis.

“Tim is a leading investment funds lawyer with tremendous experience in the varied aspects of private equity fund formation,” managing partner Michael Schmidtberger with the law firm’s New York office. “Tim will be leading the firm’s private equity fund formation efforts in New York and will add to the considerable strength of our global practice group.”

Clark said he is quite enthused about the opportunity to join such an esteemed legal practice and he noted an increased amount of regulation is progressively setting into private equity funds. The firm he is joining is well equipped to help his practice expand and flourish, he said.

The recruitment of Clark is a win for the firm as he is cited in various Who’s Who publications, both domestically and globally.
