Davis Polk advised TE Connectivity Ltd. in connection with its acquisition of Deutsch Group SAS, a world leader in harsh-environment connectivity solutions, from Deutsch Group’s majority shareholder Wendel in a transaction valued at €1.55 billion (approximately $2.04 billion at current exchange rates) and completed on April 3, 2012.

With $14 billion in sales and nearly 100,000 employees, TE Connectivity is a world leader in connectivity solutions that designs and manufactures more than 500,000 products used in the energy, health care, automotive, aerospace and telecommunications industries. Deutsch Group is a world leader in providing connectivity solutions for harsh environment applications, with an established reputation for innovation, quality and reliability. As the Deutsch group operates in the defense industry, the transaction was subject to the prior approval of the French Ministry of the Economy and Finance.
