DLA Piper today announced that prominent financial services lawyers Wesley Nissen and Edward Johnsen have joined the firm as partners in the firm’s Corporate and Finance practice. Nissen joins DLA Piper’s Chicago office, while Johnsen joins the New York office.
The team previously practiced together at Winston & Strawn LLP and represent a variety of clients throughout the financial services, investment fund and private equity sectors with extensive experience in the formation and representation of private investment funds and the regulation of broker-dealers, investment advisers and other financial services providers.
Nissen also joins DLA Piper’s as head of the firm’s Financial Services group, which focuses on the representation of asset managers, broker-dealers and proprietary trading firms of all types.
