Anderson Kill & Olick, P.C. today announced that Michael A. Lacher, a veteran international corporate and trial lawyer, has joined the firm as a shareholder in the firm’s Litigation Group and International Business Department.

Joining Mr. Lacher in his move to Anderson Kill are all three attorneys who have practiced with him at Lacher & Lovell-Taylor. Adam J. Rader joins the firm as a shareholder; Kerry A. Sheehan and Beth Simon join as attorneys. All four will practice in Anderson Kill’s New York City office.
Mr. Lacher’s diverse and broad litigation and appellate experience in his 47 years of practice includes matters involving complex international business transactions, breaches of executive employment agreements and wrongful termination, commercial real estate, insider trading and securities option disputes. He has represented clients under investigation by state and federal agencies, and negotiated numerous settlements, avoiding litigation and resolving civil and criminal issues. He has often been instrumental in reaching settlements in highly complex business litigation.
Noteworthy matters that Mr. Lacher has handled include representing Native American and foreign internet tobacco retailers defending trademark infringement claims and in PACT Act litigation; representing clients seeking recovery of art and assets looted in World War II; representing a U.S.-based international company in a dispute over television broadcast rights to the Olympics; and representing U.S. and foreign clients in connection with corporate, securities and tax enforcement proceedings in the U.S. and overseas.
Adam J. Rader joins Anderson Kill after an 18-year tenure with Lacher & Lovell-Taylor, in which he focused primarily on corporate litigation. He has handled a diverse array of complex commercial litigation matters, international matters, executive employment disputes and appellate matters.  He holds a B.A. from Connecticut College and a J.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison Law School.
Kerry A. Sheehan and Beth Simon both focus their practices on commercial litigation. Ms. Sheehan holds a JD cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh and a BS from Cornell University. Ms. Simon holds a JD from Washington University of Law, where she was an International Public Interest Fellow; an MA summa cum laude in Middle Eastern Studies from New York University; and a BA with highest honors from the University of Chicago.
“We are very excited about the opportunity to join a firm of enormous stature in the legal profession,” Mr. Lacher commented. “Our clients recognize as well as we do that this move will add depth to our ability to serve them. We look forward to a very happy future.”
Robert M. Horkovich, managing partner at Anderson Kill & Olick, commented, “Over a long career, Michael Lacher has built a sterling reputation as a top-drawer litigator and counselor to a wide array of businesses and prominent individuals.  His international practice meshes perfectly with Anderson Kill’s, which has been growing rapidly of late.  We are also very excited to bring on the talented attorneys that Michael brings with him.  Adam Rader, Beth Simon and Kelly Sheehan have all proved themselves able and versatile litigators and counselors.”
