The Firm represented Cementos Pacasmayo S.A.A. in connection with its $230 million initial public offering of American depositary shares, each representing five common shares, registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Cementos Pacasmayo’s common shares have been listed on the Peruvian stock exchange since 1995. The ADSs are listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the tick symbol “CPAC”.
Cementos Pacasmayo is a Peruvian cement company and the only cement manufacturer in the northern region of the country. The net proceeds of the offering will be used to expand the company’s cement business and develop its new phosphate and brine projects. Its affiliate Hochschild Mining plc is a Peruvian mining company listed on the London Stock Exchange. The Hochschild group has been operating in South America for the past 100 years.
Cementos Pacasmayo is only the fourth Peruvian company currently listed on the New York Stock Exchange and the transaction was the first initial public offering into the United States from a Peruvian company in nearly two decades.
