Weil Expands US Capital Markets Practice As Jennifer Bensch Joins New York Office

International law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP today announced that Jennifer A. Bensch has joined the firm as a partner in its New York office. Ms. Bensch joins Weil’s Capital Markets team from Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP where she was a partner serving a broad range of financial institutions and corporate clients.

Her expertise spans domestic and international debt and equity issuance, serving underwriters and corporations as well as private equity clients on transactional and other corporate and securities matters.
“Building our Capital Markets platform is a strategic priority for our firm,” said Executive Partner Barry M. Wolf. “Bringing Jennifer to the firm will help us meet the burgeoning demands of our active clients. Her skills, reputation and depth of experience complement those of our existing partners.”
Ms. Bensch has experience in public and private offerings of debt and equity securities including initial public offerings and other public and private equity, equity-linked and hybrid security offerings. She has also worked with high-yield and investment grade debt offerings, leveraged buyouts debt tender offers and other exchange and refinancing transactions.
“Jennifer is a fantastic addition to Weil,” said Daniel S. Dokos, head of Weil’s global finance practice and member of the firm’s management committee. “Our practice has been growing and we are pleased to welcome someone with Jennifer’s broad range of experience with underwriters of securities, corporate issuers and private equity sponsors.”
“I am pleased to be joining Weil’s Capital Markets practice,” said Ms. Bensch. “The firm’s blue chip client list and reputation initially made a move to Weil attractive, but it was the quality of the professionals here that convinced me that this was the right place for me.”
Ms. Bensch is a member of the New York, California and Washington, DC bars. She graduated with a BA from the University of Colorado and holds a JD from George Washington University.
